Several prominent community leaders, government officials, nonprofits, educators, reformers, activists, and other citizens honored a commitment to a stress-free, violence-free community during a special keynote address by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif., Mar. 24.
Volunteers of the Art of Living Foundation are working to create a community free of stress and violence. This has two components: Go Inward and Take Action. The campaign encourages one to do something from each of these categories at least once a week.

“Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace,” said Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to a packed audience at the convention center.
Citing examples such as the tragedies at Sandy Hook Elemantary and violent crimes against women in India, Sri Sri preached the importance of acting on the Stree Free Violence Free campaign.
