The Music that Swami Vivekananda Loved: Celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary
An unparalleled evening of Indian Classical music filled the Flint Center in Cupertino, Calif., April 20, as renowned singers and musicians converged to give a memorable tribute to Swami Vivekananda as part of the celebrations of his 150th Birth Anniversary. The event featured internationally acclaimed musicians and singers from India, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia on flute, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. The event was part of a yearlong celebration organized by Swami Vivekananda Celebratory Organization to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
