As if we hadn’t had enough AI espresso in our lives, a new term emerges thanks to our nation’s genius leader – “Super intelligence.” Latest reports suggest that ‘.si’ domain registrations have surged in the last few weeks. First it was ‘.com’. Then ‘.io’. Then ‘.ai’. Now ‘.si’? Whether this hype will hold or not, the “Si” you hold in your hands isn’t going anywhere. Get it? Or is it too early for the uncle/aunty jokes?
Where daily headlines talk about AI being capable of creating a doomsday scenario and be a net negative to society, we see it as the new industrial revolution. Transitions are always tough. Change is inevitable and constant. This same narrative was projected when the railroad came along, when the internet came along, and now with AI.
Look at the bright side of it. As a tool, AI has shattered the barriers to innovating and spurring startups. An idea or concept can now become a full working demo or even a live polished product within mere days. The time to innovate, create, break, and recreate is now. Just avoid doing your presentations with Claude. We have seen plenty at this point.
This edition highlights and strengthens our narrative towards AI. But AI would be nothing without the next generation of thinkers and builders harnessing its power for good.
But first, we need to talk about the brain. We all have one and we all use it everyday. Yet, how come we know so little about them. Nobel prize-winning research might illuminate how our neural network might actually be wired.
Ok, back to AI… and horses. Bear with us. Riders understand their horse by watching, listening and trusting. Now AI will add new sets of eyes to barns. Shree Meenakshi, a high school senior, explains how the oldest horsemanship skill and the newest technology can work together.
Shashank Madala taught himself AI to build Kora, a free app that helps caregivers understand autistic children, and designed it to admit what it doesn’t know.
Mayank Vadaliya shares doctoral research on an open-source AI tool that predicts urban traffic congestion more than 30% more accurately than standard methods. The model was tested using Los Angeles freeway data.
AI also takes on professional services. Robots are moving from niche applications to everyday operations, helping organizations address labor shortages, demographic change, and growing service demands through advances in AI, autonomy, and human-robot collaboration, says a recently published International Federation of Robotics paper.
Zooming out, Chayanika Saxena writes about the macro-geopolitical landscape operating exactly like a Gen Z “situationship.”

On a less techy note, Janam Gupta takes the Lexus TX for a spin. With numbers hitting the ball out of the park, the TX is one of their most popular models in recent years. But is it really worth all the hype?
Young people asked candid questions and heard from accomplished AAPI leaders at the Roots & Wings Youth Symposium, write Sandra Pan and Lisa Hsu.
When we hear Washington, D.C., what comes to mind? Capitol Hill? The White House? All sorts of cool monuments? Well, they have much more to offer as Janam Gupta explores D.C. outside of the National Mall.
This Diwali, prepare this decadent dessert for goddess Lakshmi, and the guests. Your kids will love you for this. Prachi Agrawal shows how to make an eggless, fresh mixed fruit and whipped cream cake.
A sweet and short tribute for one who captured the heart of millions. Siliconeer bids a fond farewell to Nana Patekar.
This edition goes back to the roots. As we continue to build on our promise to amplify the voices of the next generation, we applaud and cheer those who challenge the status quo. The next generation of thinkers and builders have embraced us, and we couldn’t be more fortunate.
We see the light and we see the sparks. That can only mean one thing. Wishing you and your family a very prosperous and Happy Diwali!
