FIA of Northern California (#FIANC) celebrates India’s 69th. Independence Day with usual pomp and style, Aug. 15-16. This year, however, the festival was inclusive with many other ethnic communities joining in the celebrations. This year, in addition to the parade, the mela (fair) and cultural programs and dance competition, the event also had a film festival and film awards, Festival of Globe, to celebrate world cinema.
