Fremont schools are known for excellent standards. However, there is a need to improve in several areas including:

Student Success

Every student in the Fremont school district irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, economic status, pupils with disabilities and English learners should have the resources and support to achieve their fullest potential. As a school board trustee, I will:

  1. Advocate for course offerings to enable every student to achieve their aspirations (including college, vocational training, career).
  2. Improve multicultural content so that everyone would feel included, proud of their heritage, and highly appreciative of the diversity in Fremont.
  3. Provide teachers and educators necessary resources to offer world-class education to our students during distance learning and in class.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our students, educators, staff, and parents is a top priority always and even more so during the COVID pandemic as it has contributed to additional stress on our school community. As a school board trustee, I will:

  1. Ensure adequate emotional and mental support to prevent and address mental health issues in our school community.
  2. Create protocols for safety and sanitation for a safe return to school after the pandemic is over.
  3. Support sports, music, and art programs for reducing stress and providing relaxation to students.

Facilities and Budgets

Every school in Fremont should have up-to-date facilities to support the students and staff and provide an enriching educational experience. This requires a working budget that needs to be used effectively. As a school board trustee, I will:

  1. Provide well-maintained facilities that are safe, campuses that are secure where students and the community will feel connected.
  2. Be accountable and creative with the available budget with efficient cost management.
  3. Leverage industry contacts for support for internships and donations.

As a trustee, I will work relentlessly to provide accountability and transparency in all board matters. I will also be available for regular meetings to hear from the community (including online meetings during the pandemic). I will work with all stakeholders in a collaborative manner with a STUDENTS FIRST approach and exhibit a high level of integrity.
