Yum! Sampling the ultimate Bihari delicacy: #littichokha #Patna #Bihar #loveindia (@TheMandyMoore | Twitter)

Hollywood actress Mandy Moore, on her visit to India, is not shying away from experimenting with local cuisines and recently sampled Bihar’s favorite “litti-chokha” when she was here.

Mandy Moore, the 31-year-old actress, best known for her roles in films like “A Walk To Remember,” “Tangled” and “License to Wed,” is in India to support NGO PSI India’s Gender Based Violence (GBV) Programm Project Wajood.

“Yum! Sampling the ultimate Bihari delicacy: #littichokha #Patna #Bihar #loveindia,” Moore said.

The actress-singer, who joined PSI in 2008, as an ambassador for its child survival programs, thanked the Government of Bihar for their rousing welcome to the state.

“Amazing welcome from the Government of Bihar. Thank you! #loveindia #Bihar.”

Moore will be in the country for a week travelling to different cities and understanding how PSI and its partners are working to improve the health and rights of girls and women by providing comprehensive health solutions that range from access to toilets, screening for cervical cancer, improved access to contraception, and ensuring that women and girls can live lives free from gender-based violence.

“So inspired by the strong women I met in #Bihar, embracing microfinance loans to buy toilets. Cc: @melindagates,” Moore said.
