A presentation on India as a travel destination was held at Amber India Restaurant in Los Altos, Calif., Mar. 7. The presentation, made by Sandhya Haridas, assistant director of India Tourism Los Angeles office, highlighted various models and tour options that travel professionals here could share with their clients.

Among those present were Consul General of India, San Francisco, Ambassador Venkatesan Ashok, travel trade professionals, members of the press and other guests.

The highly informative seminar talked about various aspects of travel to India and within India. Haridas spoke about the various travel destinations, their qualities and seasons in which to visit. She also talked about the new e-Visa on Arrival initiative which was explained by the Consul General as well.

India Tourism Los Angeles also participated at the travel expo held in Santa Clara, Calif., over the last weekend.
