With the largest entrepreneurship conference in the Silicon Valley just around the corner, all systems are “go” for TiE Inflect 2018. This year, TiE will inflect with a strong concentration on Artificial Intelligence. With speakers from tech giants like Google and startups like DigEthnic, TiE Inflect has something in store for everyone.

With record-breaking registrations for 2018, the TiE Inflect team have prepared well for the conference and they bring influential figures from the likes of Tesla, Visa, Levi’s, Google, and Microsoft to share their wisdom on the hottest topic of the decade: AI. “Building on the twenty-five year legacy of TiEcon, we have designed TiE Inflect 2018 to focus on the business and human impact of AI.” (http://www.tieinflect.org)

TiE Inflect will consists of three parts: keynotes, the expo, and networking. It has been their formula for success for the over two decades and it will probably be used again for the years to come.

This year we will see a shift in the tracks’ subjects as this year the topics include MarTech, GovTech, AI/Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Emerging Tech, Health Tech, Internet of Things, Women and Youth, and more. All of these subjects are an integral part of our lives somehow. It will be intriguing to see what the expert speakers, lined up by TiE, have to say about these topics.

What to expect (Source: TiEInflect.org):

  • Artificial Intelligence: Executives from companies like Oracle, eBay, Capital One, Google, Cisco and more will come and speak about Artificial Intelligence and its impact on our daily lives.
  • Internet of Things: VPs and managers from Trimble, Intel, Microsoft, Nvidia and more will come and speak about Internet of Things and connect IoT with cars, daily living, and food. Yes, food!
  • TiE Women:One of the best tracks of TiE Inflect as it will feature women executives from marketing and tech companies.
  • TiE Youth:The TiE Youth track will feature many young entrepreneurs with successful startups. The track will be hosted by Miss San Jose and there is a shift as we will see more female speakers in this track. Budding student entrepreneurs from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, Calif., will be speaking in this track.

For the grand keynotes, we will see Harmit Singh, Deepak Ahuja, and Vasant Prabhu; the Chief Financial Officers of Levi Strauss, Tesla Motors, and Visa, respectively. Harmit Singh and Vasant Prabhu are also the Executive Vice Presidents of their companies.

Like every year, the tech jargon will be flowing in the rooms of the Santa Clara Convention Center. Along with that, entrepreneurs and representatives from startups will market their offerings to many venture capitalists and potential customers attending the expo, at the conference.

The heart of this conference is usually the expo. The genesis of TiE Inflect and its success is due to the expo as it gives the ideal environment for motivated and eager entrepreneurs to connect with the experienced and the wise. It is like LinkedIn, except rather than connecting through screens, you are connecting face to face. I know, it may sound intimidating but it’s exceptionally effective.

TiE has always given Silicon Valley the best business conferences in the field of IT. The amount of wisdom encompassing the halls of Santa Clara Convention Center is one of the reasons why. The opportunities to meet and connect with promising people are endless. You work hard, you also play hard. Although TiEcon is now TiE Inflect 2018, the conference will still hold up to its hype and expectations.

The unmatched energy of budding entrepreneurs, the invaluable guidance of various leaders in their respective fields and most importantly, the “giving back to the community” gesture of those who made it big in this land of opportunities, inspire one to keep coming back to TiE Inflect.

We will see you face-to-face at 2018 TiE Inflect.
