Chanakya was larger than life, one of the most shrewd thinkers, strategist and visionary, yet a simple human being of his time, and to bring to life his legend, is not an easy task. The show “Chanakya” has been running worldwide for over two decades and it was their 982nd performance in Milpitas, Calif.

Wonderfully written by Mihir Bhuta with music by Ashit Desai and produced by Charu Joshi, “Chanakya” featured versatile Bollywood and theater actor Manoj Joshi, talented Ashok Bathia from NSD, and seasoned actor Sanjay Bhatiya.

The elaborate set brought to life the Maurya Empire, a great visual sound production reliving 350–275 BCE, a time when Chandragupta Maurya ruled India.
