Adria Arjona

Seoul (IANS) – Actress Adria Arjona says her character, Number Four, in the upcoming movie “6 Underground” is strong yet has a heart. The actress, who has was seen in movies such as “Pacific Rim: Uprising” and “Life Of The Party”, added that she likes playing characters that are empathetic.

“I play the doctor. A woman that is so eager and desperately in need to help other people and save lives and I think like any other civilian we feel frustrated that we cannot do enough for what is going around our world. I play the doctor who saves and is anti-violence and is strong but doesn’t believe in guns,” Arjona told reporters here.

Directed by Micheal Bay “6 Underground” tells the story of six individuals, who form a vigilante squad after faking their deaths in order to take down notorious criminals to bring about change in the world.

What drew her towards the character? “I like playing characters that are empathetic. It was easy for me because I fell in love with every single .. mates. I think for me it was so easy for me to play this woman. So, drew me was having a strong female character who still has a heart that is not tough but strong is hard to come by. In a lot of films I see, female characters are made tough as opposed to strong, and I think this character had that element of strength,” she said.

The film, which is slated to release on December 13 on Netflix, will see some high-octane action, adrenaline-pumping care chase scenes and death defining stunts.

What was her most challenging scene in the movie? “The car (chase) scene was challenging for me just because stuck in this car. Dave Franco actually did a lot of the driving — I don’t know how many miles and hours, and now we still have to still play the scene and then you have Micheal in front of you operating a camera and given you directions. But it was cool fun because I never had a director operate a camera and directing at the same time,” she said.
