“I have been teaching yoga as therapy for years. Each person is unique and it is important to modify the poses based on factors like, level of flexibility, existing health pre-conditions etc. for example, if a person has back pain, there are certain poses they should do and some poses they should not so that they get benefits of yoga and not get hurt. Also, the poses they can practice might need modifications as well. In general yoga classes it is not practical to get personalized programs and this is my effort to bringing personalization of yoga to people to get maximum benefits,” explains Dr. Rathna.
