The Consulate General of India, San Francisco and The Artist Alley Gallery presented an art exhibition — ‘Indian Hues: Celebrating Young Artists of India,’ in San Francisco, Aug. 5.
The exhibition included art displays by young Indian artists Neha Dadbhawala (www.NehaKaari.com) and Mekhla Goyal (www.teema.mosaicglobe.com) as well as Indian artists from across the globe.
Consul General of India in San Francisco, Susmita G. Thomas, along with other dignitaries and art connoisseurs from near and far were attended the event.
“The purpose of organizing such exhibitions by the office of the Consulate General is to platform and foster talent of the new generation that is making waves in the world of art,” says artist Mekhla Goyal.

“It was an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of young Indian artists, as well as showcase the traditional art from India.”
“I am an inspired artist who like many of us finds peace and love in art. I like to stretch my imagination to create visually aesthetic and uniquely appealing compositions, especially in abstract style. When people see my abstract work, I would like them to form their own visual interpretations.”
“Nature with its richness of colors, forms and textures inspires and fuels my imagination. I have also been influenced by the rich culture and heritage of India, which is echoed in some of my pieces,” commented Mekhla Goyal, one of the featured local Bay Area artists.
