Sweet Delight: Tutti Frutti Sandesh
For those with a sweet tooth, here’s a simple and delightful Indian sweet recipe from the kitchen of Sudha Gupta.

Ingredients
- 1 cup grated chhena (Indian-style ricotto cheese)
- ½ cup sugar
- 6 pieces dates
- 6 pieces almonds sliced
- 7 pieces pistachio (peeled)
- 1 small can of mixed fruits
- Pinch of saffron
- Pinch of cardamom powder
Method:
Mash sugar and chhena together. Add mixed fruits without the syrup. Heat pan in medium heat. Add mixture, stir till water is fully soaked (7-8 min). Then add cardamom powder, almonds and dates and mix well. Switch off heat. Make 1 inch-sized small balls, depress the center, decorate with pistachio and saffron. (See photo)
