After becoming one of Netflix’s quickest comedy hits, “Maamla Legal Hai” is returning with season 2, bringing back the chaotic world of Patparganj District Court.

Ravi Kishan, who plays the ambitious Advocate Visheshwar D. Tyagi, stole hearts as the President of the Patparganj Bar Association with dreams of becoming India’s Attorney General. His portrayal of the shrewd yet endearing lawyer earned comparisons to beloved workplace comedies like “Panchayat.”

The series, which premiered on March 1, 2024, was renewed just a month later after featuring in the top 10s of at least 17 countries and remaining #2 in India. The show struck gold with its unique blend of heart and courtroom humor, offering a light-hearted take on the everyday chaos of India’s legal system.

Season 2 has begun filming and promises a fresh dose of disorder and eccentric legal battles. The star-studded team features Ravi Kishan, Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, and Anant Joshi, who is ready for their courtroom comeback.

The new season introduces multi-talented Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, and internet sensation Kusha Kapila, who joins the cast with her signature spark. Both additions promise to bring fresh energy to the judicial chaos.

Set in the fictional Patparganj District Court, the series follows an ensemble of underpaid, overworked lawyers navigating bizarre cases while dispensing justice in unconventional ways. Drawing inspiration from real-life cases, the show offers a playful take on democracy and justice that resonates with audiences across India.

Netflix has not announced an official release date for season 2, but fans can expect more courtroom comedy sometime this year.
