A five-alarm fire burned at the Rancho Shopping Center on El Camino Real in Santa Clara.
Firefighters were not able to control the fire which started early in the morning, till around the afternoon, May 25.
The fire believed is to have started at Radhe Chaat, an Indian restaurant on one end of the strip mall, completely gutted entire length of the strip, taking down other businesses including Kumar Jewelers flagship store, which has been doing business at this location for over two decades.
