South Asians in the Bay Area have many reasons to celebrate. Activities throughout this summer highlight South Asian culture, Indian pride, and representation in local government. Siliconeer presents glimpses of South Asian culture and arts being celebrated throughout the Bay Area.

Versatile singer Sagnik Sen seen here with a fellow musician, after their performance of a melodious evening of songs from the legendary Hemant Kumar. Sen was visiting the Bay Area from Kolkata, India. The event held at the residence of Sudha and attorney Mahesh Bajoria, in Fremont, Calif., delighted guests to a soulful rendition of the legend, in a voice which was as close as one can imagine. Dr. Abhay Kumar Pati, a published author on Ayurveda, facilitated the event.
