Simantinee Roy

With every accomplishment comes a challenge or an obstacle- nothing was easy for me. But with every road block I learnt something new and kept believing in myself. My passion to make a difference led to an increased amount of self-motivation and perseverance which helped me achieve whatever little I could so far. We mostly draw inspiration from others, and I believe my journey that I have had so far would help inspire many more woman to help break the glass ceiling.

Fondly known as Simi, she currently works in a technology giant in Silicon Valley, she is a Singer and a celebrity Anchor who has performed and hosted in 100+ concerts/tours all across North America. This former Miss East India- Miss Photogenic & Miss Tripura is a trained Hindustani Classical Singer. Born and raised in Agartala, Tripura she has completed her Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor’s in Music) and has performed as a Child Artist at All India Radio. Holds Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani Classical, Simantinee is a Civil Engineer, has her master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and completed her MBA as a Mom. Diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin’s Lymphoma right after her Engineering, she is  a mother of a beautiful 6-year old girl and is currently collaborating with well-respected and renowned Indian Bollywood Music composers and Singers. She has been featured and been interviewed in multiple platforms.

Her journey in the world of Bollywood Concerts and Tours started in 2013 and has been a part of  100+ live concerts and tours with all the renowned Bollywood celebrities since then. She has hosted and performed in various Bollywood concerts and national tours including Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Pritam Chakroborty, Ayushmann Khurana, Sajid- Wajid, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, to name a few. She is currently working on her debut Bollywood Single and continues to perform live all across North America. Simi is not just a singer and an emcee; she strives to be the string that binds any concert together and creates everlasting memories!

Her message: There is always time for everything you would wish to do, how you find that pocket of time is completely up to you. You must be brave enough to demand more out of yourself, be disciplined to actually work more. I strongly believe in constant pursuance, determination and optimism and if you have these three in you, you would be walking the path to achievement
