Bollywood’s powerhouse performer Vicky Kaushal is set to mesmerize audiences with his portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming historical drama, Chhaava. The film will offer a gripping account of the valiant Maratha warrior-king, bringing to life one of India’s most legendary historical figures. 

Kaushal has described this as the “toughest role of his career,” undergoing intense training and gaining 25 kilograms of muscle to accurately embody the Maratha warrior. His transformation reflects his commitment to delivering a powerful and authentic performance that does justice to the historical legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Kaushal is joined by Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna also features in a pivotal role, while the legendary A.R. Rahman helms the film’s soundtrack, promising a stirring and immersive musical experience that complements the grandeur of the story.
