Prime Video’s Indian Original spy thriller Citadel: Honey Bunny has taken the world by storm, becoming the most-watched series globally on its launch weekend. Directed by the acclaimed duo Raj & DK, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, the series debuted across 200 countries, ranking in the Top 10 in nearly 150 regions, including the US, UK, Canada, France, and UAE. 

Set in the vibrant 1990s, the series follows stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan) and struggling actress Honey (Samantha) as they navigate a perilous world of espionage, betrayal, and high-octane action. Years later, they must reunite to protect their daughter Nadia, as their dangerous past resurfaces.

Raj & DK, creators of Honey Bunny, expressed pride in contributing to the Citadel universe, blending nostalgic nods to Indian cinema with an international espionage narrative.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is part of the larger Citadel universe, which debuted in 2023 with the original Citadel series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Subsequent international spin-offs, including Italy’s Citadel: Diana, have expanded the franchise, with each series bringing unique local flavors to the interconnected spy saga.

With Honey Bunny, Prime Video continues its streak of delivering hit Indian Originals like Mirzapur, Farzi, and The Family Man.
