Journalist Ronan Farrow has exposed several high-profile men as alleged sexual predators (ANGELA WEISS)

Washington (AFP) – Journalist Ronan Farrow has become the preeminent chronicler of the #MeToo movement.

Here is a look at some of the prominent men who Farrow — the son of actress Mia Farrow and director Woody Allen — has brought down through his exposes in The New Yorker magazine.

– Harvey Weinstein –

Farrow shared the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for his series of articles which exposed the alleged sexual predations of powerful Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

The stories in The New Yorker, the first of which appeared in October 2017, brought forward a cascade of allegations of sexual assault and harassment of numerous actresses by Weinstein, co-founder of Miramax and the Weinstein Company.

The disgraced Hollywood mogul has since been charged in New York with several counts of rape and sexual assault.

Farrow’s exposure of the Weinstein scandal has been cited as a key moment in the #MeToo movement which has reverberated around the globe.

– Eric Schneiderman –

A May 2018 article in The New Yorker by Farrow and co-author Jane Mayer led to the resignation of New York state attorney general Eric Schneiderman.

Farrow and Mayer recounted the stories of four women who claimed to have been physically abused while in relationships with Schneiderman.

Schneiderman, who was also accused of regularly abusing alcohol and prescription drugs, denied the allegations but resigned his position.

– Les Moonves –

A July 2018 article by Farrow in The New Yorker led to the eventual resignation of Les Moonves, the chairman and chief executive of the CBS broadcasting network.

Six women told Farrow that they had been sexually harassed by Moonves, who oversaw a stable of hit shows at the network and was considered one of the most powerful men in television.

Moonves resigned in September after a follow-up article by Farrow which contained allegations from another six women of sexual harassment by the CBS CEO.

– Brett Kavanaugh –

A September 24 story in The New Yorker by Farrow and Mayer contained a second allegation of sexual misconduct by embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Deborah Ramirez, 53, claimed that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a college party at Yale University when they were students there in the 1980s.

Kavanaugh already was facing allegations from a university professor, Christine Blasey Ford, that he assaulted her at a party when they were in high school.

The judge has strongly denied both allegations.

Ford is scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
