But some enjoy the taste of authentic Indian cuisine. <b>Sakoon<\/b> in Fremont, Calif., would definitely be something for them. Sakoon opened its Fremont location earlier this year after the success of their Mountain View joint.<\/p>\n<p>This upscale restaurant has a lot to offer. From sizzling eats off the <i>tandoor<\/i> to delicious North Indian &#8211; North West Frontier favorites in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There are cocktails and small bites for the casual eaters. The menu has choices to satisfy every palate, write <b>Siliconeer<\/b> foodies <b>Vansh A. The soft music and lighting adds to the mood. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Drinks (Pi\u00f1a Colada &amp; Millionaire Sour)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We started the night with a couple of drinks, non-alcoholic, of course! The <b><i>Pi\u00f1a Colada<\/i><\/b> was great, keeping the balance between pineapples and coconuts. The fancy glass really added to the beauty of the drink. The other drink, <b>Millionaire Sour,<\/b> lived up to its name, sour, but worth a million dollars, by adding a sweet and gingery taste to it. The cherry and soda were nice additions. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Veg Appetizer (Katori Chaat)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b><i>Katori Chaat<\/i><\/b> was spicy, <i>chatpata<\/i>, and had a sweet balance to it. We loved the crunchy feel. It was visually appealing as well. We would recommend this for <i>chaat <\/i>lovers. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Non-veg Appetizer (Murgh Reshmi Kebab)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b><i>Murgh Reshmi Kebab<\/i><\/b> came out sizzling. Neither too spicy, nor too bland, it tasted great, both with and without the <i>chutneys<\/i>. It was well cooked and quite juicy.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Breads (Aloo Peas Kulcha and Pesto Naan)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b>Pesto <i>Naan<\/i><\/b> being served at an Indian restaurant was new for us. Pesto adds an interesting and flavorful twist to the <i>naan<\/i>. Tastes especially great with curries. The <b><i>Aloo<\/i> Peas <i>Kulcha<\/i><\/b> was loaded with a zesty potato-peas filling. Our search for the perfect <i>naan<\/i> and <i>kulcha<\/i> involved three parameters, flavor, crispiness, and fluffiness. In this case, we have to admit, we were surprised. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Veg Entr\u00e9e (Paneer Peshawari)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b><i>Paneer Peshawari<\/i><\/b> looked like an innocent dish, na\u00efve but surprisingly spicy (as requested). It came in a stylish bowl and had the perfect balance of paneer and gravy. We didn\u2019t have to fish for the <i>paneer, <\/i>it was just there, in abundance! To add to the color and flavor, some bell peppers and onions were found in company but not in excess. Splendid!<\/p>\n<p><b>Non-veg Entr\u00e9e (Murgh Sakoonwala)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Murgh Sakoonwala<\/i><\/b> is Sakoon\u2019s signature chicken preparation. Just right spices, very little veggies and lots of chicken! We couldn\u2019t help dig in just as it arrived. Smells as delicious as it looks. The fact that there is very little veggies, should appeal to a lot of kids who are usually not that fond of crunching on those veggies.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9732\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9732\" style=\"width: 850px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9732\" src=\"https:\/\/siliconeer.com\/current\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/PAGE-BON-APPETIT-02.jpg\" alt=\"Sakoon Cr\u00e8me Brul\u00e9e (Vansh A. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Dessert (Zafarani Badam Pista &amp; Sakoon Cr\u00e8me Brul\u00e9e)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>And now, our personal favorite, dessert! We ordered <b><i>Zafarani Badam Pista <\/i><\/b>and <b>Sakoon Cr\u00e8me Brul\u00e9e<\/b>. While the first one was served with a dollop of whipped cream topped with chocolate sauce and sugar coated <i>saunf<\/i> (fennel seeds), the Cr\u00e8me Brul\u00e9e was warm and crispy on the top and cool and soft inside. A dashing blob of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate and sprinkled with sweet <i>saunf<\/i> also accompanied it. Gupta | Siliconeer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>The Verdict<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Overall, Sakoon proved to be quite an experience. It is pricey, upscale restaurant, and the environment had a fancy and formal feel. The service was exemplary and ambience was chic.
