Two Indian Americans figure among the list of 123 people who have helped raise a minimum of $100,000 for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, writes Lalit K. Jha.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mahinder Tak and Deven J. Parekh have become the first Indian Americans to raise more than a hundred thousand dollars for Clinton’s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n
“Our National Finance Committee members – Hillblazers – are individuals who have helped raise $100,000 or more in primary election contributions since the launch of this historic campaign on April 12, 2015. We are grateful for their support of Hillary for America,” the Hillary Campaign said.<\/p>\n
Both Tak and Parekh are long time friends of the Clintons and have been consistently raising funds for them.<\/p>\n
Former Secretary of State Clinton, 67, announced her second presidential bid in May and would be the first woman president of the U.S., if elected, in November next year.<\/p>\n
While Parekh is a managing director at the New York-based Insight Venture Partners. Tak is a retired radiation oncologist and U.S. Army colonel.<\/p>\n
Parekh, who has backed U.S. tech pioneers Twitter, Tumblr and Flipboard and Chinese Alibaba and JD.com at Insight, was ranked 57th in Forbes’<\/i> Annual Midas List of “The World’s Smartest Tech Investors of 2015.”<\/p>\n
