Indian American Nikki Haley, the outgoing U.S. Ambassador to the UN, has poked fun at President Donald Trump\u2019s inflated ego and his cultural ignorance, days after announcing that she would be leaving her position representing America at the world body.<\/p>\n

Haley, 46, announced on Oct. 9 that she is resigning from her UN post, effective at the end of the year. She has since claimed that she has no ambitions to run for president in 2020.<\/p>\n

Haley, during remarks at the 2018 Alfred Smith Dinner in New York, mocked the president for getting laughed at, at the UN General Assembly last month, a spectacle that both she and the president said was intentional, New York Daily Times<\/em>reported.<\/p>\n

The former South Carolina governor started the speech with a joke about Trump\u2019s thin skin.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone in Washington called me with advice about this speech. They all said the same thing, do not under any circumstances make any jokes about the president. So, good night everybody,\u201d she said to laughter from the crowd.<\/p>\n

She also joked about the president\u2019s ongoing feud with Senator Elizabeth Warren, who recently released the results of a DNA test that strongly supported the existence of Native American ancestry from six to 10 generations ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe president called me this morning and gave me some good advice, he said if I get stuck for laughs just brag about his accomplishments. It really killed at the UN, I\u2019ve got to tell you,\u201d Haley said, Oct. 18.<\/p>\n

The outgoing ambassador was recalling a moment during the president\u2019s UN speech when delegates laughed at him boasting that his administration had, in two years, \u201caccomplished more than almost any in the history of our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

After that joke, Haley then turned her attention to Warren. Trump has repeatedly mocked Warren with the nickname for Pocahontas for her having claimed previously that she has Native American ancestry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get it, you wanted an Indian woman but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test,\u201d Haley said in New York.<\/p>\n

She continued to poke fun at Trump\u2019s cultural ignorance, the report said.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, when the President found out that I was Indian American he asked me if I was from the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ambassador poked fun at Trump\u2019s response to the recent Bob Woodward book.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President got really mad at Bob Woodward\u2019s book,\u201d she said. \u201cThe book compared him to a fifth grader. A lot of Democrats seized on that, until they realized that they got beaten by the fifth grader.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
