Akshaya Patra Foundation USA hosted its annual Bay Area Benefit Gala, Sept. 28, at the Hyatt Regency SFO Airport in Burlingame, Calif. The event was attended by over 300 businesses, non-profits, government and philanthropic leaders.<\/p>\n

Actress and Producer, Seirah Royin, started off the evening by sharing her own personal connection with Akshaya Patra.<\/p>\n

Yuvaan Raj Parwaney, a young member taking initiative and being a part of Akshaya Patra Foundation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

CEO of ThoughtSpot, Sudeesh Nair was Keynote for the evening. Nair is known for his innovative approach to IT and he shared how this opportunity can be equally relevant to the expansion of Akshaya Patra\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n

Vanadana Tilak, CEO, shared a compelling presentation about Akshaya Patra and its mission.<\/p>\n

Special celebrity guest, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, inspired people to get motivated and excited for the event. He auctioned off his aprons during the event, a beautiful gesture to help those in need.<\/p>\n

Samir Date and Dipalee Somaiya had prepared a musical performance for the audience to enjoy amplifying the already electrifying energy.<\/p>\n

The event was inspiring and entertaining, but most importantly it accomplished its agenda of benefitting the children of Akshaya Patra.\u00a0In India, millions of children suffer from extreme hunger and as a result education is compromised.<\/p>\n

The organization began feeding 1,500 children daily in 2000 and currently feeds over 1.75 million children in 14,125 government schools each day through a association of 38 ISO standard centralized kitchens in 12 states. Its mission is to reach 5 million children every day by 2020. With a history of economical innovation, the capacity to level and maximize the value of partnerships is supposed to succeed.<\/p>\n
