(Press Trust of India)<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Kareena Kapoor has said she believes in the idea of equality but would not call herself a \u201cfeminist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked what her idea of feminism was, the 37-year-old actor said she considers herself a human being first.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe in equality. I am not a feminist, I am a woman. And above all I am a human being. I am as proud as I am as Saif Ali Khan\u2019s wife than as a Kareena Kapoor,\u201d she told reporters at the music launch of her upcoming film \u201cVeere Di Wedding,\u201d May 22.<\/p>\n<p>Kareena, who has always been open about her relationships, plays a commitment phobic woman, \u2018Kali\u2019 in the Shashanka Ghosh directorial.<\/p>\n<p>Asked how her personal stand affects her film choices, the actor said, \u201cWhat made me take this role up is because for a mainstream actor who has mostly worked with commercial actors like Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman, is now doing a completely new story with three female actors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was obsessed by the story, I thought it was very cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, the film is slated to be released on June 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kareena Kapoor (r), and film producer Rhea Kapoor during the music launch of their upcoming film &#8216;Veere Di Wedding,&#8217; in Mumbai, May 22.
