Clover Wootton, who designed the eerie look for actor Anushka Sharma in \u201cPari,\u201d says she once lied about the actor\u2019s role to Ranbir Kapoor.<\/p>\n

Clover, who is also working on the Dutt biopic with Ranbir, decided to trick the star into believing that his \u201cAe Dil Hai Mushkil\u201d co-actor was playing the character of a dog woman in the upcoming movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven that I\u2019m working on the Sanjay Dutt biopic and Anushka being a very good friend of Ranbir, she had anticipated that he will be asking about \u2018Pari.\u2019 Between us we decided to plan a prank on him. We decided to fill him in with some lies and see how far the story goes…<\/p>\n

\u201cSo when Ranbir asked me about \u2018Pari,\u2019 I told him that Anushka is playing a dog woman – half human and half dog. I went on to tell him how much she is working towards getting into her character, and how she is observing Dude (her pet dog) to get it all right,\u201d the look designer said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Clover said she and Anushka let Ranbir be under the false impression, which resulted in her \u201cSui Dhaaga\u201d co-star Varun Dhawan also falling prey to the Chinese whispers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter giving all that nonsense, we let Ranbir stew. After, four or five months, Anushka and I met again for \u2018Sui Dhaaga,\u2019 which stars Varun Dhawan. And, the first thing he asked her was – \u2018I heard you are playing a dog in \u2018Pari,\u2019 how\u2019s that going?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still laugh our hearts out thinking about where it came from!\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
