Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna, and Shahid Kapoor are officially set to begin shooting \u201cCocktail\u202f2\u201d in August 2025, under the direction of Homi Adajania, with production expected to wrap by January 2026.<\/p>\n

Replacing Saif Ali Khan\u2019s role from the original, Shahid takes the lead in this fresh version, while Rashmika and Kriti bring their own charisma to the iconic love triangle. Backed by Maddock Films in collaboration with Luv Ranjan, the sequel aims to recapture the essence of the 2012 hit\u2014stylish settings, emotional beats, and unforgettable music\u2014while incorporating new energy.<\/p>\n

For Rashmika, it\u2019s a major entry into mainstream Hindi cinema following her acclaimed role in \u201cChhaava,\u201d while Kriti continues to skillfully balance style and substance with back-to-back hits.<\/p>\n

With shooting set across India and Europe, and wrapped by early 2026, fan buzz is already building around the soundtrack and styling\u2014many are calling this \u201cGen Z Dil Chahta Hai with a high-fashion twist.\u201d<\/p>\n
