Chef <strong>Sanjay Patel<\/strong> shows how to quickly and easily prepare Desi Street Veggie Chow Mein for the Jain community.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><i>Prep time \u2013 45 Minutes<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Serving Size \u2013 3-4 People<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams eggless Hakka noodles (1 pack)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>1 bell pepper, thinly sliced<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup beans, chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup baby corn<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup fried firm tofu<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup cabbage, shredded<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>2-3 green chilis, cut into slits<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. soy sauce<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. green or red chili sauce <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd tsp. vinegar<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp. black pepper powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp. sugar<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>salt to taste<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. oil<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>fresh coriander leaves<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Method:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Boil water with a teaspoon of salt. Add noodles to the boiling water and boil them as per the package instructions. Make sure the noodles are not mushy, or they will be overcooked.<\/p>\n<p>Drain the noodles in a colander and run cold water over it. Add a teaspoon of oil to the boiled noodles to prevent them from sticking to each other. Keep it aside.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chop all the vegetables and keep them ready ahead of time. Heat oil in a pan, add all the chopped vegetables and saut\u00e9 them for 2 minutes on high flame. The vegetables should remain crunchy &#8211; do not overcook the vegetables.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Add soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, sugar, and salt. Toss well and cook for a minute.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Add the boiled noodles to it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mix and toss well until the noodles are coated evenly with sauces and vegetables. Cover and cook for about a minute. Turn off the flame.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
