(Press Trust of India)<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Anushka Sharma<\/b> is the latest Bollywood celebrity to come aboard Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s \u2018Swachh Bharat Abhiyan\u2019 and the actor said she was honored to be a part of the \u201cnoble initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The 29-year-old star made the announcement on Twitter, where she also shared a letter from the PMO inviting her to join the cleanliness drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to be a part of #SwachhBharat campaign and will do my best for the noble initiative of #SwachhataHiSeva,\u201d Anushka wrote alongside the invitation.<\/p>\n<p>The document read, \u201cIn the coming days, we will commemorate Gandhi Jayanti. An inspiration to billions across generations and borders, Mahatma Gandhi recognized that our attitude towards cleanliness also reflects our attitude towards society. Bapu believed in achieving cleanliness through community participation&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBapu also strongly believed that \u2018swachhata\u2019 is for each one of us to practice. Inspired by the noble thoughts and a faith in the spirit of 125 crore Indians, let us pledge towards cleanliness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It further urged the actor and the community to live life on the mantra of \u2018Swachhata Hi Seva.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA clean India is the most noble service we can do to the poor, downtrodden and the marginalized.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In one of her tweets, Anushka also wished Modi as he turned 67 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHappy Birthday to our honorable PM @narendramodi ji.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you Sir for the invitation to join the #SwachhataHiSeva movement,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Other B-Town stars who are a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan include names such as Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan and Vidya Balan.<\/p>\n<p>Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar\u2019s recently-released \u201cToilet: Ek Prem Katha\u201d was a love story against the backdrop of the \u2018Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anushka Sharma during the launch of new collection of eyewear in Mumbai, Sept. 20.
