A giant inflatable chicken with a Donald Trump hair style has been placed near the White House by an Indian American activist to protest the president\u2019s stand on releasing his tax returns, dealing with North Korea and engaging with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Aug. 10, writes Lalit K. Jha.<\/b><\/p>\n

\n

Taran Singh Brar, a documentary filmmaker, placed the \u201cChicken Don\u201d in the lawn, just south of the White House and near the Washington Monument with due permission from the National Park Service and the Secret Service.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tallest thing they usually allow on the Ellipse is the national Christmas tree,\u201d he said. \u201cThey gave me a waiver for the 30-foot tall Chicken Don.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump is too chicken to release his tax returns, to stand up to Putin,\u201d he told the local media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are out here to criticize our president for being weak and ineffective as a leader and being too afraid to release his tax returns, too afraid to stand up to Putin and now engaged in a game of chicken with Kim Jong Un,\u201d Brar was quoted as saying by the Washington Examiner<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYet he wants a military parade in DC. It\u2019s all incongruous, and we are here to make fun of him for that,\u201d Brar said. according to whom the angry-looking chicken which has golden-orange hair and hand gestures in Trump\u2019s style is available for purchase on eBay for $1,500.<\/p>\n

Early this year, Brar started an online fundraising campaign for this unique protest.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey everybody! We are raising money to bring Chicken Don to the White House. Help the Chicken cross the road…<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania Avenue,\u201d he wrote on his fundraising post \u201cChicken March.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe think the coward squawking in the White House is too chicken to show his tax returns, too chicken to stand up to Putin, and too chicken to face the press. We\u2019ve been inflating Chicken Don in his backyard so he knows no one is scared but him,\u201d Brar said.<\/p>\n

Trump, however, has missed the chicken protest as he has been staying at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

His absence probably made Brar\u2019s protest easier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized it\u2019s actually better, because the symbolism works and the Secret Service won\u2019t be as jumpy,\u201d Brar said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
