When the first look of Raveena\u2019s film was out, comparisons were drawn between its poster and that of Sridevi\u2019s \u201cMom,\u201d which released just days before.<\/p>\n

When asked about it, Raveena told reporters, \u201cShe is a senior, I respect her a lot and I\u2019ve always been the biggest fan of hers. I am proud that, whether it\u2019s \u2018Pink,\u2019 \u2018Mom\u2019 or \u2018Maatr,\u2019 our industry is making these films today. I hope such films are made more.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, there is no comparison. I feel a message like this should be given at least six months a year to wake up people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The revenge thriller is directed by Ashtar Sayed and chronicles the story of a mother fighting to get justice for her daughter\u2019s rape.<\/p>\n

The film features Raveena in a lead role and the actress says she finds the term \u201ccomeback\u201d strange.<\/p>\n

\u201cI find that a very strange term. Nobody uses it internationally. Everyone becomes selective after a while. I worked in the \u201990s where we used to do 30 films at a time. But the whole trend has changed. As an actor I\u2019ve reached a point where I\u2019ll do a film which I believe in,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did a couple of films in the middle which went to festivals, I completed Onir\u2019s \u2018Shabh.\u2019 I don\u2019t see myself going anywhere. I\u2019ve been working on TV all along. After I have done \u2018Maatr\u2019 and \u2018Shabh,\u2019 I don\u2019t know when I\u2019ll do a film again. How many times will I make a come back,\u201d Raveena adds.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old actress says the film throws light on the issue of rape in the society.<\/p>\n
