While \u201cDangal\u201d earned Rs 29.78 crores in India on its opening day, Dec. 23, \u201cSultan\u201d had grossed Rs. 36.54 crores on the first day on July 6.<\/p>\n

Since its release, the total weekend collection of \u201cDangal\u201d stood at Rs. 106.95 crore, including Rs. 1.07 crore from Tamil and Telugu (dubbed versions).<\/p>\n

In \u201cDangal,\u201d Aamir portrays real life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat whereas Salman had played a fictitious character in \u201cSultan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSultan\u201d had reportedly collected Rs. 180 crores in the first weekend, and its total collection stands at Rs. 584.25 crores worldwide.<\/p>\n

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, \u201cDangal\u201d sees Phogat training his daughters Geeta and Babita to make it big in the field of wrestling.<\/p>\n

The film has been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.<\/p>\n

Aamir\u2019s \u2018Dangal\u2019 Not to Release in Pakistan, Say Distributors<\/b><\/p>\n

Aamir Khan\u2019s film \u201cDangal\u201d will not be released in Pakistan, contrary to some media reports which said that the movie will have a theatrical screening in the neighboring country.<\/p>\n

Cinemas in Pakistan began screening Indian movies, over two months after film exhibitors and theatre owners suspended it amidst Indo-Pak tensions following the Uri terror attack and cross-border firing incidents.<\/p>\n

The cinema owners across Pakistan have suffered about Rs. 150 million loss and some 100 employees lost their jobs since the non-screening of Indian movies, an official had earlier said.<\/p>\n

There were reports that Aamir\u2019s biographical sports-drama will also be released in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

However, the spokesperson of the distributors of the film has issued a statement and confirmed that \u201cDangal\u201d will not be releasing in Pakistan and \u201cany news reports to the contrary are false.\u201d<\/p>\n
